The Dark Villager grew up in a small village in the fens, England. It is very queit and often dark. The road is bent and should have been straight but an old listed manor house got in the way. This has now been knocked down. The road is too narrow so they built a path on the wrong side to make it even smaller and as dangerous as possible. The main traffic through the village are tractors and trucks, even though they are prohibited. The speed limit is 30mph but no one goes slower than 40mph in case they are seen driving through the village. The main attraction in the village used to be the shop but this closed down twenty years ago when the lady running it left and everyone went to the next town to the supermarket. The other feature is the town pub. Its always interesting to see if it is actually open or not when ever you return to 'the village'. ( see Dark Villager song 'Eastrea' )
